Study Chinese by reading the Chinese text you want to read! Chinese Toolbox FREE is a tool to help you do just that. With Chinese Toolbox FREE you can learn Chinese by reading about sports, current events, the arts, or whatever it is you’re interested in.

Just go to the web page of interest, copy the text, and paste it into the Chinese Toolbox FREE reader. Press the right arrow key to select the first character. That character automatically appears in the dictionary window, where you can see, among other things, the English definition and the pronunciation in both pinyin and zhuyin.

Chinese Toolbox FREE keeps track of the characters you know and those you don’t know so well. Pressing the spacebar on a selected character marks that character for unassisted reading. The program also updates time stamps when characters are selected. So in review mode its easy to find and review characters you haven’t seen in a while. The character with the oldest time stamp is displayed first.

· Chinese Toolbox FREE is now digitally signed by Aaron Todd Sherrill (publisher) through Comodo USERTrust, verifying the authenticity of the publisher and the integrity of the application. If the application installer is changed in any way after being digitally signed (normally through transmission problems during download), the certification on the file is revoked causing “Unknown Publisher” to appear during installation. More on this is covered on the Installation page.
· Offline launch restrictions have been eliminated. You can now run the program both online and offline without restrictions or annoying messages.
